TECO® Urine Stabilizing Tubes, 98 x 0.8ml

The TECO® Urine Stabilizing Tubes (98 x 0.8 ml) contain a protein-rich urine stabilizing buffer designed to preserve urinary proteins. The 5 ml tubes are filled with 0.8 ml of buffer. After urine collection, these should be filled up to 4 ml with sample. Urine samples should ideally be added to the buffer within 12 hours of collection. They can then be stored at:

• 2-8˚C for one week,
• -20˚C for up to 28 days, or
• -70˚C for one year*

*Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

Note: Stabilizing buffer has not been shown to interfere with biomarker assays. Nonetheless, it is recommended that individual labs validate the urine collection solution with their assay procedures.
