For tissues with lower collagen levels and high matrix effect, analyzing collagen is difficult. QuickZyme therefore developed an assay in which the matrix effect was neutralized to make total collagen analysis suited for more organs or imbedded tissue. The references below are based on the sensitive tissue collagen assay and is focused on use in the liver, but their methods are applicable to a variety of organs, including heart, lung, kidneys and embedded tissue samples.
