Scientific Marketing Specialist

Location: Hybrid (West Chester, OH)

Reports To

Scientific Director

Position Summary

Serve as technical information contact for customers and sales representatives.  Audit and prepare technical and marketing literature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Scientific Support:

  • Provide best-in-class technical support for customers and sales representatives regarding their questions/requests.
  • Analyze and respond to all customer questions/requests.
  • Assist in technical support communications, including answering technical support line phone, e-mails, or other requests.
  • Handle customer complaints by providing solutions and or routing to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, specifically Complaint Procedures.
  • Perform follow-up with customers to ensure supplied products and services are meeting customer needs.
  • Read and distribute pertinent technical information to appropriate customer segments and personnel.
  • Remain current on changes in policies, procedures and product offerings.

  • Assist in proposal and documentation writing, presentations, including online, and video.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of seminars and training sessions.

Marketing:

  • Responsible for the initiation, and completion of all marketing projects, coordinating with Sales, Technical Support, President, and Graphics Design.
  • Develop and execute marketing projects such as email campaigns, brochures, webinars, videos.
  • Design trade show collateral, in conjunction with outsourced agency.
  • Design visually appealing and informative presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Attend trade shows/conferences for educational purposes to promote new and existing products and to provide technical information.
  • Identify and qualify potential prospects to assist in increasing sales.
  • Assist with technical and marketing content for direct mailing, advertising, and catalog for technical content.
  • Responsible for literature room, ensuring all literature is current and sufficiently stocked.

     Website:

    • Develop, design, post and maintain content for company website, and social media accounts.
    • Assist in providing technical content for website activities.

    Other Duties:

    • Handle other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Travel may be in the United States/ Canada/ or International (10-30%).
    • Travel to customers to troubleshoot and promote products.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Life Sciences degree from a four-year college or university.
    • One to two years related laboratory experience in the area of Hemostasis and Vascular biology.

    Essential Skills

    • Proficient in the use of MS Office.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.

    Technology

    • Microsoft Office 365 – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software
