Collagen IV
Biomarker of Liver Fibrosis and Renal Dysfunction
Now Available In An Easy-To-Use ELISA Kit
- Collagen IV (a.k.a. Type IV Collagen) is a major component of the basal lamina, including the perisinusoidal space and glomerular basement membrane of the liver and kidney, respectively.
- Increased serum levels of Collagen IV are associated with increased deposition of Collagen IV to the liver and the extent of liver disease and fibrosis.
- Urinary levels of Collagen IV correlate well with the extent of renal injury due to, for example, diabetic nephropathy or chronic kidney disease.
- Measurement of Collagen IV is well-suited for biomarker research panels and can be used alone or combined with these excellent products available from Diapharma:
