Details: Insmed has published some positive data with their brensocatib trial using the ProAxsis ProteaseTag® Active Neutrophil Elastase and Proteinase 3 Immunoassays, which are distributed in the US and Canada by DiaPharma.

Brensocatib is a drug being developed by Insmed for the treatment of bronchiectasis. Brensocatib may decrease the damaging effects of inflammatory diseases by inhibiting DPP1 and its activation of neutrophilic proteases, like neutrophil elastase and proteinase 3. Active Neutrophil Elastase can be measured to endotype for bronchiectasis research and is used in current trials as a biomarker for enrichment, mechanism, and efficacy.
